Introducing Sacramento Chiropractor Dr. Jeri Anderson
“I Understand”
“I spent many years of my youth riding and showing horses in jumping competitions. Looking back, I now realize that I sustained many whiplash injuries to my neck and spine during my equestrian career; however, back then I foolishly thought that one had to be in a car crash to experience whiplash. Wrong. By the time I entered college not only did I have headaches, neck and low back pain, I also had a long history of throat infections that persisted despite many, many rounds of antibiotics, etc. My medical doctor wanted me to have my infected tonsils removed. I was resistant to surgery because I was studying to get into veterinary school and was worried about taking time off from school for the surgery and recovery.
Soon fate would intervene. I injured my low back so badly that it was difficult for me to walk. I had a classmate that I studied chemistry with whose parents were chiropractors and I ended up going into their office for evaluation of my low back pain. I must admit that I knew nothing about chiropractic at the time, thought chiropractors were quacks and was scared out of my mind; however, I did not like the alternatives that the medical community offered for my misery so there I was.
An exam and x-rays were performed on me and the chiropractor told me that while my low back was a problem, my neck was worse. In fact, she asked when did I nearly break my neck? Well, I knew the answer to that, as I had taken a really bad fall while competing at Pebble Beach a few years earlier that left me with a nasty concussion and recovery from a head injury. Not to mention all the whiplash injuries over the years.
My chiropractor adjusted my spine and it didn’t hurt. In fact, it actually felt good! I walked out of their office with my low back pain nearly completely resolved after my first adjustment. But, what totally and unexpectedly blew my mind was that after the first adjustment to my neck my tonsils began to heal. In fact within about a month, they were totally healed after 18 months of constant pain, infections, fatigue, antibiotics and gargling with all sorts of concoctions. It worked so well that I went to Life Chiropractic College-West myself and became a Doctor of Chiropractic!”

A Lifetime Commitment to Excellence and Further Learning
“My first chiropractor studied under the legendary Dr. B.J. Palmer, DC, PhC. She advised me not to go to chiropractic college to be the best student, but to go to become the best doctor – and then keep learning all my life. I hope that I have, and will continue to, honor Dr. Olivia McGinnis’ priceless wisdom.”

“My family is so special to me. So valued that I cannot express what they mean to me in words adequately. I am so deeply blessed.”
Dr. Jeri has a huge family encompassing Sacramento and Tucson. She has a 78 year old Mom, 80 year old Dad, 3 brothers and a sister, 16 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews! She likes to joke that her family is so large that she has to be involved in the community! All joking aside, Capitol Chiropractic has been represented on a variety of community services activities including the American Diabetes Association Father of the Year Council, UCD Medical Center Volunteer Services Board, Sacramento Diabetes Chapter Speakers Bureau and as a National Strength and Conditioning Association Advisor.
Walking The Talk
“A healthy nervous system and chiropractic care just make sense. I have been adjusted or checked every week since my first chiropractic adjustment.”
Dr. Jeri leads by example. She exercises a minimum of 2-3 days per week and eats well. She thinks “getting sick sucks” and works toward health daily. Consequently, she rarely misses a day out of her practice (even 20 years after graduating from Life-West).
